365 Challenge - Day 243

Evening all!

   Very rushed tonight, busy day at work, preparing for a day off tomorrow but for a good reason - a wedding shoot! I am preparing for that tonight. (check batteries are charged, memory cards ready, cameras cleaned etc.)

Bit of a rushed set, but I love the colours.

Result...

None of these had any post processing.

Will be an early post tomorrow morning, before I head to capture a beautiful day!

    The is some wheat in the fields to be cut, so I took the chance to grab my macro lens, and abstract it up!

365 Challenge - Day 241

Evening!

  A little different style tonight. Less focus on my art and more on the art of some street graffiti.

Driving to get the wedding suit (finally found it!) I saw an old warehouse building, with bricked up windows, covered in spectacular artwork. I had to stop and get some shoots.

Turns out it was done, with permission of the building landlords, by a Cambridge based art collective called 'Blight Society Art' http://blightsociety.blogspot.co.uk/. They are:

'Dedicated to changing the public perception of these misunderstood art forms for the better we work closely with schools, community groups and the public to show how graffiti urban and street artwork can be used as a positive tool to help build inclusive communities and improve public spaces.'

and more power to them!

Result....

All post processing was much the same - just bump contrast to really bring out the colours, added vignettes to focus in on the art and some had to tweak the WB.

    A great day out with Dad today, at a small local airshow, which turned out to be great!

This is another bonus shot - the sun was giving off a weird halo effect. Weird!

365 Challenge - Day 238

Afternoon all!

    Had a [unsuccessful] trip to Cambridge today. Only unsuccessful in terms of suit shopping, it was ripe for street photography though!

Result.....

This is a bonus shot, just had to take it! As you can see, it is a rainbow, but look how low it is to the ground! Never seen this before. Had to tweak the photo a bit to really bring out the colour as in real life it was very faint (I could only see it with my sun glasses on!)
